Transferring videos from iTunes to Windows Media Player.?

Question by burning.wolf: Transferring videos from iTunes to Windows Media Player.?
So I have a Sansa View. It has been hard figuring everything out with it and I have one last problem! I want to put some of my music videos that I bought off of iTunes onto my Sansa player. I have downloaded and tried the Sansa Media Converter and it is not working for me. When I go to play the converted videos a gray screen comes up. I am wondering if there is another way to get these videos onto my player or if I am using the Media Converter wrong. Please help!

Try another video converter, also make sure you’re using the correct file format output that is supported by the newer player.

How do I put itunes music into windows media player?

Question by Elizabeth H: How do I put itunes music into windows media player?
I just got a new samsung blackjack and would like to sync my phone in order to put my itunes music on it. How do I put my itunes music into windows media player so that I can sync it?

Best answer:

Answer by Luke L
You can only put itunes music on your blackjack if you put the music onto itunes from a cd. If you bought the music from itunes you can only put that music on ipods. But you could still burn it to a cd. But unfortunately it can only be put on an ipod. I ran into this same problem! I hope this helps!!!

Best answer:

Answer by Jen B
all of your music on windows media player should all be in the same folder ex. “My Music”

if you go into itunes and click file then go to add folder to library.
select the folder that all your music is in.
it will automatically add the music files to your itunes.

hope this helped.

How do you transfer music from Limewire to the new version of Windows Media Player?

There seems to be a misconception in many questions posted on YA about programs like iTunes and WMP. Many people seem to think that they are a form of (logical) storage – that files are downloaded or transferred to them or from them. WMP is simply a program that plays files that are stored in folders on your HD (or streaming over the internet). As long as it’s accessible to WMP (whether on your HD, a flash card or a CD) WMP will play or burn it.

If you are trying to burn an MP3 CD (which is a D that will play MP3 files but only play in cd players that say “MP3″ on them) you don’t need wmp or any real burning software – you can just copy and paste to the blank CD, and hit “finalize”.

You only need WMP to burn an audio CD (which will play in any CD player but is limited to about 80 minutes of music).

You really need to get rid of Limewire – and then thoroughly disinfect your PC’s HD.

Q&A: Is there a simple way to transfer all your music from Windows Media Player to iTunes?

Question by The Madness Within: Is there a simple way to transfer all your music from Windows Media Player to iTunes?
I’m want to switch to iTunes, but all my music is with Windows Media Player. I would just import the music but all my music is separated in a lot of different folders and it would be a real pain to import them all one by one. Is there an easier way?

Currently, iTunes can use MP3, AIFF, WAV, MPEG-4, AAC and Apple Lossless formats, so if you’re music is not in any of those formats you must convert it all first.

Once you have it all converted and have iTunes installed, in iTunes find “File>Add Folder To Library” and select that. Find the folder that contains all you’re music (i know it’s spread out, but even if you put it all just under “My Music” or “Music”, it can extract all the music from that, add it to your library, and be ready to play it!!

How do you convert music from Windows Media Player to iTunes?

Question by George M: How do you convert music from Windows Media Player to iTunes?
I’ve tried importing the Music folder (on vista) but it leaves about a third of my songs out compared to what’s on media player. I think I only burned some of my CD’s straight onto Windows Media Player, so they didn’t get registered in my Music folder and are not being picked up by iTunes.

Anyone know how I can recover the music? Or how to transfer to iTunes straight from Windows Media Player?

Best answer:

Answer by Brian Holland
Follow these steps:
1. Find where Windows Media Player stores your ripped music.
2. Add that folder into iTunes.

Detailed instructions:
1. In WMP, do this:
a) Open the Options window. You can do this by clicking on the little down arrow below “Rip” button and selecting “More Options…”
b) Go to the “Rip Music” tab, if you’re not already there.
c) Take note of the folder displayed in the “Rip music to this location” section.
d) That folder should contain your music. Go there to check.

2. In iTunes, do this:
a) File –> Add Folder to Library…
b) Navigate to the folder you found in step 1.
c) Push OK.
d) For WMA files, iTunes will tell you via a message box that one or more items are in the WMA format and that it will automatically convert them to your preferred format, i.e. AAC or MP3 – depends on your preferences (Edit–>Preferences–>General–>Import Settings button).

iTunes should now have your files available, including all that it has converted. For any non-Windows formats, check the Advanced tab in your preferences to see whether “Copy files to iTunes…” option was ticked, as this will have duplicated files on your disk.

Bri.

Q&A: How do I get windows media player in windows 7 to play music properly?

Question by oldm8: How do I get windows media player in windows 7 to play music properly?
Ok, so I’m trying to listen to some music through Windows Media Player in the newly installed Windows 7 OS. Yesterday it worked fine, but today it plays about 5 seconds of music then stops for about 10 seconds before playing another 5 second snippet so on & so on.
Has anyone else out there had this problem?
If so how did you fix it?

Best answer:

Answer by The EggMan
Windows Media Player reports your music to Microsoft, who might have detected it’s pirated or something.

Use the free VLC instead, or use iTunes.
