Q&A: Ipod Touch songs from media converter?

Question by : Ipod Touch songs from media converter?
So on my Nokia 5300 music xpress I have a bunch of songs downloaded from media converter/youtube downloader so I’m getting an Ipod Touch soon and was thinking if I could use the same media converter/youtube downloader for the Ipod Touch because I really don’t want to pay for some songs that I already have downloaded for free.

http://www.mediaconverter.org/

If this method can work, what are the songs format? like for example, mp3 is obviously the mp3 format.
Can anyone tell me how I can put the music file that is downloaded from media converter into the itunes library?

as long as the songs are in an mp3 format, and are in your iTunes library yes you will be able to do it like that. But neither the format nor the program are changeable so make sure that you can use that converter to put them into an mp3 format and that you have iTunes and you’ll be aight

If I update to iOS 4 in iPod Touch 2G, can I restore all my music & media after the upgrade?

Question by 0010: If I update to iOS 4 in iPod Touch 2G, can I restore all my music & media after the upgrade?
I’m planning on upgrading to OS 4 but even after i have synced my files, and transferred all my purchases, the pop-up that warns me about “all my files will be lost: thing keeps on appearing! I don’t wanna lose all my media, photos and music after I upgrade to os 4. Will my files be restored even if it says that all files will be lost?
I really want to install OS 4..

I currently have an ipod touch 2nd gen running on OS 3., if that helps. Thanks!

Don’t understand that error message either that is if you have your media on your computer in itunes and on your ipod…otherwise get it all into itunes on your computer first.

Once that’s done, the iOS4 update will back up your ipod and then wipe your ipod clean during the update process, and restore the device during the process too, but once the whole thing is done it will restore everything back onto your ipod so it’s full when done.

It won’t sync because they are two different programs. itunes is designed for mac and windows is well… designed for windows.

the files will transfer over. They are most likely all .mpg’s anyways.

Just do these steps:
1. open itunes
2. click file (upper left corner)
3. “add file” or “add folder to library”
4. find the file/folder location of the file/folder you want to add to itunes.
5. select that file/folder
itunes will import it.
you now have you music in itunes.

If you need anymore help my email is on my profile page.
