if you download music on Itunes from another program how can you move it to your ipod ?
Question by forever_barakat: if you download music on Itunes from another program how can you move it to your ipod ?

Answer by bthouse68
1. Do you have an iPod Video? If not that’s why it won’t play.
2. Do you have auto-sync on iTunes set? If so, it should automatically copy to your iPod. If not, just drag the video to you iPod icon when it’s plugged in to the computer.
3. Is the mp4 an iPod file? All mp4s will play through iTunes or Quicktime, but not all mp4s will play on a iPod. Your video converter should have a couple different options on how to conver. If you select the iPod mp4 option, it will play on your iPod and also on your computer.
Good Luck!

Usually, yes. But syncing your iPod in itunes will put everything back on it again. You can always restore your ipod and it removes the jailbreak as well.

Q&A: Can I transfer music from Media Player to Ipod if the format is mp3?
Question by Randy Orton: True Legend Killer2: Can I transfer music from Media Player to Ipod if the format is mp3?
Hey guys. I was wondering if I could do that. It’s because I have all the album info and stuff on my Media Player and not on Itunes. There is automatic album info for itunes. So I was wondering if I could do that. Thanks.

import the mp3 files into the itunes library first, then transfer them through itunes. I’m fairly certain the ipod itself still only plays AAC files, but it’ll convert when transferring them to the device.

How do you get music from windows media player onto your ipod?
Question by Surrender-ur-heart: How do you get music from windows media player onto your ipod?
I downloaded some music into windows media player, how do I get it onto my ipod?
Best answer:
Answer by DaftPunk
When you open wmp, plug your Ipod in. There should be a window on the right side saying sync or “drag files on here”. Then just select the songs and drop them onto that window. If that doesn’t work, go to Computer C:/. Under removal devices should be your Ipod. Then locate your music and move it to it. The easiest way is to download iTunes (free download on apple.com) and it will automatically (i think) search your computer for music and if you plug your Ipod in, you can sync it together.

Q&A: Ipod Touch songs from media converter?
Question by : Ipod Touch songs from media converter?
So on my Nokia 5300 music xpress I have a bunch of songs downloaded from media converter/youtube downloader so I’m getting an Ipod Touch soon and was thinking if I could use the same media converter/youtube downloader for the Ipod Touch because I really don’t want to pay for some songs that I already have downloaded for free.
http://www.mediaconverter.org/
If this method can work, what are the songs format? like for example, mp3 is obviously the mp3 format.
Can anyone tell me how I can put the music file that is downloaded from media converter into the itunes library?
Best answer:
Answer by Tyler
as long as the songs are in an mp3 format, and are in your iTunes library yes you will be able to do it like that. But neither the format nor the program are changeable so make sure that you can use that converter to put them into an mp3 format and that you have iTunes and you’ll be aight

If I update to iOS 4 in iPod Touch 2G, can I restore all my music & media after the upgrade?
Question by 0010: If I update to iOS 4 in iPod Touch 2G, can I restore all my music & media after the upgrade?
I’m planning on upgrading to OS 4 but even after i have synced my files, and transferred all my purchases, the pop-up that warns me about “all my files will be lost: thing keeps on appearing! I don’t wanna lose all my media, photos and music after I upgrade to os 4. Will my files be restored even if it says that all files will be lost?
I really want to install OS 4..
I currently have an ipod touch 2nd gen running on OS 3., if that helps. Thanks!

Answer by Ɲyla ⌘ ♀
Don’t understand that error message either that is if you have your media on your computer in itunes and on your ipod…otherwise get it all into itunes on your computer first.
Once that’s done, the iOS4 update will back up your ipod and then wipe your ipod clean during the update process, and restore the device during the process too, but once the whole thing is done it will restore everything back onto your ipod so it’s full when done.

is there a windows media player converter download so i can put music i have saved in there on my ipod touch?
Question by Andrea: is there a windows media player converter download so i can put music i have saved in there on my ipod touch?
i’m really new at this and cant figure it out. my itunes manager/acct wont sync with my windows media player.. and my windows media player will not sync with my ipod touch..
Best answer:
Answer by Gant
It won’t sync because they are two different programs. itunes is designed for mac and windows is well… designed for windows.
the files will transfer over. They are most likely all .mpg’s anyways.
Just do these steps:
1. open itunes
2. click file (upper left corner)
3. “add file” or “add folder to library”
4. find the file/folder location of the file/folder you want to add to itunes.
5. select that file/folder
itunes will import it.
you now have you music in itunes.
If you need anymore help my email is on my profile page.
