Answer by erin W
The media converter is only used to convert pictures and video’s not music.
Windows explorer is just the name of your computers file management system.
To transfer music go to the start menu of your computer. Click on the my computer tab and double click to open the Philips drive. Leave this window open. Go back to start menu and open My documents (this is usually where Windows media player puts music) or go into My computer again to find your music. Once you find your music, select a song with the mouse. Then hold the left button of your mouse down and “drag” the song to the Philips window and release. This is called drag and drop. Your Philips player will not support music that has been purchased on the internet or that has copy protection (DRM)

There are a few ways to import music into your iTunes library. The first and easiest way is to simply click and drag the songs from wherever you have them saved on your computer to the iTunes window. If you are experiencing difficulty with that method, you can try this:

1) Open iTunes.
2) Go to File > Add to Library
3) Select the songs you want to import.

I hope this helped.

What career would this be? (has to do with music/media) please help and I’ll return the favor!?

Question by Marie J: What career would this be? (has to do with music/media) please help and I’ll return the favor!?
Who is responsible for things such as soundtracks, putting music in the appropriate parts in films, etc.?
I still don’t know what I want to do in life (going to college soon) but I just realized something. Whenever I’m reading a book, I’m constantly wondering “if I were to make this a movie, I would have this happening, with this sort of music, intending to give the audience this type of feeling, etc.etc.” I have a thing for music. When I watch movies, I pay attention to the music and how it makes you feel. I always get goosebumps when a movie has a great soundtrack/musical feel to it.

I would love to be in charge of that kind of stuff for a living.
What types of classes should I take in college to prepare me for that sort of field? Also, what are the specific professions that I could research that have to do with this?
Thanks so much!

I’m using Bearshare to download music onto my iPod, (bearshare is like the same thing as limewire) and I need to use iTunes to put music on my iPod. But for some reason, my media player all of a sudden switched back to Windows Media Player. How do i change it back?

And please if you could, try not to make the answer complicated…I’m not very good with computers.

Right click on any of your music files, and select “Open With.”

Then choose iTunes, and click the checkbox beside something like ‘Always open with this application.’

Hope this helps,
Ken
