why does windows media player keep converting my burned music to cda format?

Question by Kari C: why does windows media player keep converting my burned music to cda format?
I’ve tried switching to data cd, doesn’t work. I don’t want a converter. Does any computer savy person know or at least someone really familiar with windows media player? When I download the music to my computer, its mp3 but when I try to burn to cd it changes.
And I don’t want to have to pay for a new media burner.

I don’t know why, because I don’t use windows media player to burn mp3 cd, you can try my method, I am using RZ Audio Converter, it can directly burn mp3 to mp3 CD without convert, it also can convert and burn any musics or movies to Audio CD, or MP3 CD, etc, such as wma to cd, etc, etc. You should note, if you cd player don’t support mp3, you have to burn Audio CD from your mp3 files, else you can burn mp3 CD from your mp3 files. You can yahoo or google search and download RZ Audio Converter, easy to use, work well on my computer, hope it can help you.

Anyone know of a media converter (like Format Factory) for Mac?

Question by Aaron: Anyone know of a media converter (like Format Factory) for Mac?
I used to use Format Factory on my Windows computer, but I’ve recently upgraded to a Mac. Anyone know of a free multifunctional media converter (images, videos, and music)?
There’s a reason I used the word “upgrade”… I’ve been stuck with a Windows PC my whole life, but finally managed to save up enough to get a MacBook Pro. Best decision I’ve ever made.

I don’t know of any all-in-one, but MPEG Streamclip might come close. It’s free. Install that, the WMV components for Quicktime, and the Perian codec pack, and you should be good on video. Basic audio formats should work as well. Not too sure about images, but you can do that in Preview, for crying out loud.

Handbrake is a better video converter, but it’s definitely not designed with standalone audio in mind. iTunes can do basic audio conversion.

All of the above don’t cost a penny.

And ignore DrDave and his laughably false drivel. Come on man, most incompatible? Come on Mr. Uber Experience, never heard of Haiku? Plan 9? Hell, even other BSD Unix variants like FreeBSD are going to have less software. Were your parents killed by a Mac or something?
