Does the media portray a bad image on law enforcement officials?

Question by Steph: Does the media portray a bad image on law enforcement officials?
Does anyone know of any links where I can find info on my question? I know the media does a god job with making law enforcement look like bad people. Like for example movies, music, media television, and also video games. Does anyone think this would be a good topic to write a persuasive essay? I need some info!…thanks :)

I don’t know what kind of links you’re looking for, but the media definitely spins things so law enforcement looks worse.

TV stations know that people would rather watch a story on an officer shooting an “unarmed suspect” than showing different footage from that same incident that show the suspect was pulling a gun out of his clothes.
- just one example –

They showed the first video on the news – they had both videos – and reported it as if it was a murder of a relatively innocent citizen.

If done properly, it could very well be an interesting persuasive essay.
