You have to use Itunes. Now if you have music in your computer you can transfer it to your Itunes.
Open the iTunes program.
Step1:Go to “File” and click “Add Folder to Library.”
Step 2:Select your “My Music” folder (or “Music” folder in Windows Vista). This is usually where Windows Media Player stores your audio library. If you have songs stored in another location on your computer that you wish to transfer to iTunes, simply locate and select the folder that contains your song files.
Step 3:If your song files are in WMA (Windows Media Audio) format, iTunes will prompt you if you wish to convert the format. Click “Convert” to begin the process. This process may take awhile, especially if you have a large audio library.
Step 4:Once conversion finishes, your song files will be in your music library in iTunes.

Hi,
I recommend a very professional ipod transfer.

With it you can:
1: Transfer iPod files to Computer
2: Transfer iPod files to new iPod
3: Transfer iPod files to iTunes
4: Manage your iPod like a movable hard drive and transfer ipod videos/photos/music between iPod and iPod, iPod and computer/laptop, ipod and itunes.

You have to transfer the music from windows media player to iTunes at first, and then you can sync your iPod with iTunes. If you need details, this guide will help you a lot.
