Music/media question here- are you smart?

Question by checked.cherry: Music/media question here- are you smart?
I have an essay question- All musicians rely on the media (eg. radio, TV, magazines) for their coninuing fame and success and the media in turn rely on these people for their profits.

I’m choosing to agree with this statement but I can’t think of a person who I could refer to to support my view and some major points I could prove it with. Thankyou so much for your help- I really, really appreciate it!

You’ll probably want to go with a band who has made their mark (good or bad) on the music industry because of radio, I would suggest to just listen to a radio station for an hour or so, and see who you hear more frequently. That way you can come to your own decision.

Having said that, Nickelback’s definitely one of them. They’re a terrible band, and yet they get so much exposure on the radio, on tv, and in magazines. These outlets are the only things that have kept this band going as long as they have…

is there a windows media player converter download so i can put music i have saved in there on my ipod touch?

Question by Andrea: is there a windows media player converter download so i can put music i have saved in there on my ipod touch?
i’m really new at this and cant figure it out. my itunes manager/acct wont sync with my windows media player.. and my windows media player will not sync with my ipod touch..

Best answer:

Answer by Gant
It won’t sync because they are two different programs. itunes is designed for mac and windows is well… designed for windows.

the files will transfer over. They are most likely all .mpg’s anyways.

Just do these steps:
1. open itunes
2. click file (upper left corner)
3. “add file” or “add folder to library”
4. find the file/folder location of the file/folder you want to add to itunes.
5. select that file/folder
itunes will import it.
you now have you music in itunes.

If you need anymore help my email is on my profile page.

How can I transfer my music from Windows Media Player to my Ipod?

Question by Sweet&Simple: How can I transfer my music from Windows Media Player to my Ipod?
I have amazing songs on my computer in my Windows Media music folder thing. The thing is, I can’t buy a itunes card cause I have no money so I want to transfer my music from Windows Media Player to my Ipod without downloading anything! and free

Best answer:

Answer by Nickell
You have to use Itunes. Now if you have music in your computer you can transfer it to your Itunes.
Open the iTunes program.

Step1:Go to “File” and click “Add Folder to Library.”

Step 2:Select your “My Music” folder (or “Music” folder in Windows Vista). This is usually where Windows Media Player stores your audio library. If you have songs stored in another location on your computer that you wish to transfer to iTunes, simply locate and select the folder that contains your song files.

Step 3:If your song files are in WMA (Windows Media Audio) format, iTunes will prompt you if you wish to convert the format. Click “Convert” to begin the process. This process may take awhile, especially if you have a large audio library.

Step 4:Once conversion finishes, your song files will be in your music library in iTunes.

Answer by Nunya B
Have you tried to contact Best buy and see if you can get a replacement cd? otherwise, i know those can work with the Best buy digital music store.

https://order2.real.com/rhapsody/monthly/30dnocc/bestbuy?pcode=bby&ocode=bbdms&cpath=bby_togo&rsrc=ftcard

They offer a Subscription that costs $ 15 a month, but you get unlimited downloads as long as you have the subscription. Songs are a buck each. And best yet, you can load your own music into the music manager.

Otherwise, the file formats that the insignia can read are: Mp3, WMA and AAC. you can also use Windows Media Player, WinAmp, Real One player…ect to manage your music. Keep in mind the insignia has the play for sure logo, which means compatibility with media management services should be easy to find(unless you dont have licensing for the song).

Also, lastly i’ll add this. Keep in mind limewire is great wonder and free…it has its downfalls…Using limewire is also illegal for all copywrited music and video’s. It is one of the leading causes of virus, trojens, worms, and spyware. And on top of all that, there is no guarentee on quality of song, video or anything.

Well, i wish you luck. if you would just like a replacement cd…follow this link.

http://service.real.com/bestbuymusic/devices/index.html

click manufacturer support, it should bring up a “pop-up” window that has information on downloading the software, drivers and getting replacement parts.

MP3 technical support hotline at 1-800-699-9218

And one more sources for you if you run into anymore trouble… http://www.insignia-products.com
Best of Luck!

Teenagers and young adults as a group have always been wacko. Shakespeare covers the emotional upheavals of this very turbulent age group in a number of his plays. It’s amazing how the behavior, dress and attitudes of each generation of them have been condemned throughout history and yet they’ve grown up to be normal human beings;-) Those very few who don’t mature move to their generation’s fringes and can cause problems but they are too few to worry about. Sometimes the wackiness pays off: the Marquis de Lafayette was only 19 when he left France to help the American colonists fight the British. Thomas Jefferson was 27 in 1776. You can find all kinds of teens and young adults among the world’s movers and shakers so don’t worry about their temporary craziness over singers, actors, etc. We were all young and beautifully crazy once;-)
